One of the resolutions I had for this year was to take more time for self care. So I decided to take advantage of my Sunday and turn that day into my “self care day”. By self care, I mean mentally, physically and emotionally. Sundays were a great day choice for me since those were typically the days that I decompress from the week and weekend and prepare myself for the week ahead.
I like to start Sunday (and most days) with 1-2 glasses of water before my normal 1-2 cups of coffee. 😉 Then I do some light stretching, while speaking encouraging aspirations to myself. You are smart, you are strong, you are beautiful. –Now, to some this may sound silly, but Ive found that this helps me start my day off on a good note. It not only encourages me to appreciate myself, but to appreciate and be kind to others as well. I feel that when I start off my Sunday feeling grateful, thankful and happy my weeks tends to start off better.
As far as beauty products go, I was gifted these adorable coconut water fibre face masks for Christmas. They smell amazing, the packages is adorable and they left my face feeling super hydrated and calm. I really enjoy face masks, they are super convenient to put on and forget. I normally wear my masks in the daytime while I am cleaning up or finishing laundry. I have them linked HERE if you are interested in trying some out for yourself.
These little gold pearls of Vitamins is a powerful patented formula of 20% pure vitamin C and vitamin E plus raspberry cell extract to plump, brighten, and visibly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. I do not have many wrinkles now, but since I am closer to 30 now it is never too soon to start. 😉
I am tempted to make this a series where I talk about what I do for my Self Care Sunday. Mostly to keep myself motivated, but also to hopefully motivate someone else who needs it. Id really love if you would share your self care rituals. I feel like self care is very important and when life gets hectic or busy, we tend to forget that. So if you have anything interesting or that you find helpful in your self care, please share it below.
